Sunset In Ojai

Been a while since I have posted here on this blog. Life is good here in Ojai, I hate having to go to L.A. for any reason. I used to love L.A., it has changed so much in the last 30 years. The photo is sunset in Ojai from our Veranda looking west through Eucalyptus trees.

My Motorcycle

Photo taken in 1967 right after I crashed. 1952 Harley, colors have faded in photo but it was candy lime green with light gray tank. I hit a curb then a wall, the narrowed extended glide broke and broke me. Don't remember that whole day.

My Fathers Motorcycle

Photo taken in early 1940's. Notice the gas mask on the batwing, just in case the enemy invades. No helmet in those days.

Los Angeles

I lived in L.A. and its suberbs all my life. After retirement I got the heck out of Dodge as fast as I could. L.A. was once a city I was proud to live in and work for. Gradually the city grew and changed to an overcrowded metropolis that was unsafe and with no chance of changing. As long as the population keeps growing more and more problems will occur so off to Ojai I ran. I hate the thought of even going to L.A. for a few hours. I realize all populated areas have problems, that is what people do, but control was lost. After seing what the people did in New Orleans I can well imagine what would happen in L.A. if a massive earthquake occurs you better have put away food and supplies to take care of yourselves for awhile as it is impossible for the government to do it for you. You better have some form of protection to keep your supplies and your life. S.
